Finding more poetry by Gary Hotham

When I met Don Wentworth of Modest Proposal Chapbooks and Lilliput Review at Haiku North America, it was a lucky day.

Hotham is one of my favorite poets. I always carry around his book, Breath Marks. Don was fortunate and smart to publish some of Hotham’s work. I bought it all.

How does that Stanley Kunitz poem go?

“The great clock of your life
is slowing down,
and the small clocks run wild.”

This is the focus of Hotham’s work.

~~ The haiku you shared with us from Gary’s work seems to be the haiku I’m living in today! It’s time for me to try to step outside of time!
