Doing haiku like Ani DiFranco (Night with Too Many Stars)

night with too many stars

Night with Too Many Stars is the name of a poetry chapbook that I put together using Scribd. In the olden days, to put out your own stuff was considered “vanity.” But why? Didn’t Hart Crane and William Carlos Williams put out their own stuff?

How much better has music gotten since the record companies fell apart? I’ve decided to do it like Ani!

Here is the link for Night with Too Many Stars, a free, downloadable chapbook of poems and haiku. Let me know what you think!

  2. Your chapbook is cool, Gene. My favorite part was “empty flatbed hauling stars.”

That’s probably my least favorite picture of Ani ever, though. It makes her look like Bob Dylan, somehow.
