    Brandi Carlile is an incredibly talented singer/ songwriter who works collaboratively with other musicians and gives back to the industry and to social causes. She has an amazing lack of ego for such a gifted young artist.

    Not sure how old this interview is, but Brandi’s latest CD is “Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony” [May, 2011], which includes cuts from her previous three albums and some covers, notably Cohen’s Hallelujah (arr. J Buckley).

    IMO Brandi Carlile’s interpretation is the best yet, better even than Leonard Cohen.
