Tweeted poetry?

I think many are missing the point when it comes to the potential of Twitter. It needn’t be inane or self-promotion. The great potential of Twitter is that we have once again invented another way of interacting with each other.

It’s great that there’s so much fervor built upon words. Throw in the democratization that this DIY tool makes possible and it seems downright noble. People are sharing ideas, information, getting news blasts from newspapers.

It may be the latest technological fad, but it’s also one more example of technology breaking down barriers and putting us all on a level playing field. I think this is missed when people talk about Twitter…
